Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Cystinuria Coach (cystinuriacoach.com), run by Lynne White ("I," "me"), handles information about visitors. Questions? Email lynne@cystinuriacoach.com.
What I collect
- I don't ask you for personal information. The site has no account sign-ups, comment forms, or newsletter forms. If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you send, and use it only to reply.
- Technical data from hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard connection data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to deliver and secure the site. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Advertising cookies (only with your consent). I plan to use Google AdSense to show ads. If you accept cookies, Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to show ads and measure them, including ads based on your visits to this and other sites. See the Cookie Policy.
- Your choice. Your cookie choice is saved in your browser's local storage (key
cc-consent). It is not sent to me.
Google AdSense and DoubleClick
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
- Google's advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) let Google and its partners serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ad Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu.

Amazon book links
Book links go to Amazon product pages for my books. They are regular links, not affiliate links. When you click one, Amazon's own privacy notice applies.
Links to @thecystinuriacoach open Instagram, which is governed by Meta's privacy policy. The site does not embed Instagram scripts.
How information is used and shared
I use information only to run and secure the site, reply to emails, and (with consent) show ads. I don't sell your information for money. Allowing advertising cookies may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out anytime: see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you live in California, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed, and to access it.
- Delete personal information collected from you.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including for targeted advertising.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information. I don't knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the site. Health details you choose to email me are used only to reply.
- Not be discriminated against for using these rights.
Categories collected in the past 12 months: identifiers and internet activity (IP address, cookie IDs, pages viewed), collected from your browser and shared with hosting and advertising providers for the purposes above. To make a request, email lynne@cystinuriacoach.com. I may need to confirm your identity. An authorized agent may make a request for you with written permission.
Global Privacy Control: If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, the site treats it as a request to opt out of sale/sharing and won't load advertising cookies.
Other U.S. state rights
Residents of states with consumer privacy laws (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and others) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising. Email lynne@cystinuriacoach.com to use them. If I deny your request, you may appeal by replying to that email with "Appeal" in the subject line.
Visitors from the EU/UK (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or UK, the legal bases are your consent (advertising cookies) and legitimate interests (running and securing the site, replying to email). You may access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, request portability, withdraw consent anytime, and complain to your local data protection authority. Data may be processed in the United States by the providers above.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
This site is meant for adults and isn't directed to children under 13. I don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I will delete it.
Retention and security
Emails are kept only as long as needed to reply and keep reasonable records. Cookie choices stay in your browser until you clear them. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes
I may update this policy and will change the effective date above when I do.
