Fun urine story #2

Written as “Kidney Girl” on the original Cystinuria Blog · 1 min read

So. My kidneys, which were having SEVERE bi-lateral pain stopped hurting out of nowhere about 3 or more days ago. I've gone surfing; life has been good. Yesterday or the day before I woke up and had to pee. As most chronic kidney stone sufferers do unconsciously, I looked at my urine to see what fun colors it was that morning. It was strange. It was bright light yellow, but a happy yellow - not like a dark dehydrated yellow or anything.

So today, I woke up, peed, looked at my urine again and it was the same. A pretty light yellow...then it dawned on me.

THERE IS NO BLOOD IN MY URINE! For the first time in literally years, there is no visible blood in my urine! I had totally forgotten what normal urine looks like!!! I'm so happy! It looks like the thiola is finally working!
